Brief background
Katie Siek earned her Ph.D from Indiana University in 2006 and began her career as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at University of Colorado, Boulder that same year. She led the Wellness Innovation and Interaction Lab, where she and her collaborators investigated approaches to integrating pervasive technologies in health and wellness environments. Her research interests include human computer interaction, ubiquitous computing, health informatics, and performance support systems.
At the time of this interview, Katie Siek was an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at University of Colorado, Boulder. Currently Katie is an Associate Professor in the School of Informatics at Indiana University.
