Brief background

Michael Clancy is a teaching professor emeritus in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley. His degree is from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

Michael Clancy has been a long time member both of the U.S. computer science education community and of the community of researchers into the psychology of programming. He received the ACM SIGCSE Award for Lifetime Service in 2009 and was named an ACM Distinguished Educator in 2016.
